 IMAC Internet Setup Assistant


Double click on the Hard drive icon. Then double click on the Assistants folder.

In the Assistants folder, double click on Internet Setup Assistant.

At the "Welcome" window, click Yes

 

It will ask "Do you already have an Internet account?" Click on Yes.

 

Click on the Right arrow to continue.

 

Type "NetDotCom" for the name of this configuration, make sure "Modem" is selected for the method of connection, then click the Right arrow.

 

The modem settings should be adjusted for your specific environment. The defaults are shown for reference. Click on the right arrow to continue.

 

Please type in the following information in the following window:

Phone Number: Click here to locate a local access numbers Please be sure to check that this is a local call for you. NetDotCom  assumes NO responsibility for any long distance charges that you may incur in the use of any access number
User ID: Your NetDotCom username in the form of username@netdotcom.com
Password: Your NetDotCom dialup password

Make sure that you type the username and password in all small letters with no spaces. Then click on the right arrow to continue

 

Make sure "No" is selected for "PPP Connect Scripts" then click the right arrow button

 

Select No for IP Address, then click on the right arrow to continue

 

Make sure both boxes on Domain Name Servers are empty, then click on the right arrow to continue

 

In the first box, type in your NetDotCom email address.

In the second box, type in your password. (Make sure you type it in all small letters with no spaces) Click on the right arrow to continue.

 

In the first box type in your email username (the part to the left of the @) followed by the Incoming Mail Server name according to the table below.

In the second box, type in the Outgoing Mail Server Name according to the table below. Click on the right arrow to continue

E-mail address to server name mapping

If your e-mail address ends with 

Type in this mail server name

 Incoming Mail Server: pop.netdotcom.com

Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.netdotcom.com
 

@ndcis.com

Incoming Mail Server: pop.ndcis.com

Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.ndcis.com
 

@digitaldrive.net

Incoming Mail Server: pop.digitaldrive.net

Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.digitaldrive.net
 

Any other email name

Incoming Mail Server: pop.ndcis.net

Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.ndcis.net

 

Leave this box empty. Click on the right arrow to continue

 

Select No then click on the right arrow to continue

 

Click next to Connect when finished Click on Go Ahead
