The settings detailed below are for existing users of Outlook Express.
NOTE: If you have not run Outlook Express before it may start the Internet Connection Wizard to guide you in configuring Outlook
Express for your NetDotCom
e-mail account.
You can also use NetDotCom's E-Mail Setup Wizard that you can download. It can be used to setup Outlook Express quickly and easily.
To check or modify your e-mail account settings, click on the Tools menu then select Accounts.
NOTE: If you have not run Outlook Express before it may start the Internet Connection Wizard to help you configure Outlook Express for your
NetDotCom e-mail
account.
If the wizard does not start and you get the window below (or something similar) then Outlook Express has been used before. In this case you can configure
Outlook Express manually.
Below is the main window of Outlook Express. On your computer Outlook Express may display differently. You can control the on-screen layout by adjusting
these settings.

To check of modify your e-mail account settings, click on the Tools menu then select Accounts.

Click on the Mail tab if is not selected (as shown below).
Any e-mails accounts are listed in the window. Highlight the account you want to check/modify (if there is more than one) then click on the Properties button. If any old/unused
accounts are listed, highlight the account and then click the Remove button.
Highlight your NetDotCom e-mail account and then click the Properties button.

Shown below is the mail account properties window. The General tab is currently selected.
Shown highlighted is the mail account name. This is the
name that is displayed in the Internet Accounts window (shown above). If you have several e-mail accounts, you may want to change the Mail Account Name to something descriptive. We recommend using your real
name ie. "Joe's Mail Account"
The name that is typed into the "Name" space is what you want to appear on all messages you send out. This can be a nickname, initials or your real name. This is not the same
as your e-mail address, which is typed in the "E-mail address" space. If you make any changes, click on the Apply button.

Next is the Servers tab. The Server Information section contains the Incoming and Outgoing mail server names and needs to be set according to your e-mail address
from the table below.
In the Incoming Mail Server section please verify that your e-mail address is typed into the "Account name" space. The password will show as
"***..." so if you are having problems retrieving mail you may want to re-enter your password. The account name and password must be typed in all small letters without any spaces.
The three 'check boxes' should be set as shown. If you make any changes, click on the Apply button.
